Manually Operated Fire Resistant Roller Shutter Door.

Specification: -

Tested in accordance with BS476: part 22: 1987 (method 8) by the BRE, at their Technical Centre, (Test Report No. TE85423), and assessed to a maximum size of 3000mm wide and 3000mm high give from ½ hour to 4 hours fire protection.

The shutter curtain is constructed from suitable interlocking galvanised steel laths and galvanised “T” section bottom rail, running in galvanised steel side channels, mounted on mild steel support angles which are bolted to the structure.

The curtain weight is counterbalanced by means of a helical spring within a suitable steel tube barrel assembly at high level, running on steel bearings. The barrel assembly is supported between mild endplates. A galvanised steel coil casing is provided as standard.

All mild steel components are finished in one coat of black primer.

Operation: -

Manual operation by means of push up / pull down. These doors are designed to be left in the fully open position and are not suitable for every day use.

Activation: -

By means of a captivated drop weight suspended by a fusible link (activated at 68ºC), or solenoid.
