'Access Star' - Aluminium Security Shutters

Specification:-

• 'Access Star I' Aluminium Shutter with Self Coiling Operation.
• 'Access Star IV' Aluminium Shutter with Electrical Operation.

Shutter curtain is constructed from mill finish aluminium flat laths running in aluminium side guides bolted to aluminium support angles., mounted between galvanised steel endplates at high level.

Operation:-

Manual self-coiling operation is by means of lifting handle/rail and pull down pole (where necessary). The shutter curtain is counter balanced by means of helical springs. Locking by means of two, side guide mounted locks or by an espagnolette lock mounted on the bottom section of the shutter curtain.

Electrical operation is by means of high quality single-phase tubular motor and gearbox fitted within the barrel assembly. An emergency manual hand crank over-ride can be provided to allow operation of the door in case of power failure. An anti-fallback SAFETY BREAK device is fitted at high level to prevent uncontrolled dropping of door curtain. Activation by means of a security key switch or paddle switch.

Application:-

Each door is purpose-made to suit site dimensions and requirements and is suitable for all types of use where a high degree of protection is required including shop fronts, office doors, windows, counters and bars.

Classifications:-

Under BS 13241-1, classifications are given to each door with regards to Wind Resistance, Water Resistance, Thermal Resistance and Air Permeability. Our standard classifications will be given at quotation stage or quotations can be given to meet individual classifications if required. A comprehensive log book is supplied with each door which will include operating instructions, maintenance instructions and all safety equipment details.
